A diaper that's too tight can be just as messy as a diaper that's too loose. To avoid blowouts, leaky messes, and other uncomfortable situations, choose the correct diaper size for your baby.
First, look at the diaper's weight suggestion. Does your baby's weight fall between the numbers listed on the box?
That being said, keep in mind that just like adults, babies have different body types and shapes. Two babies that weigh the same may wear different size diapers. You can try different sizes to find the one that fits the best, but the weight suggestion will give you a good place to start.
One sign that you might be using a diaper that's too small is red marks on your little one's belly, legs, or back near the diaper area. If you start to see these spots on your baby's skin, it's probably time to move up to the next diaper size.
