Eczema-prone skin is one of the four skin types recognized in babies. It impacts one out of five children.
If your little one has this skin type, you'll likely notice one or more of the following symptoms:
• Dry, scaly area
• Itchy skin
• Inflammation
• Discolored patches (typically red)
• Small bumps
• Flakiness
• Open sores
• Rough to the touch
While the symptoms could appear anywhere on the body, eczema is especially common on the face and in skin folds, such as the neck and back of the knees.
Eczema often flares up due to specific triggers, such as harsh chemicals, environmental factors, or your child's diet.
